The Oshkosh Winnebagoland Barbershop Chorus, under the direction of Todd Oxley, won the ‘Plateau A’ competition for small choruses (39 members or less) at the annual Land O’ Lakes (LOL) District Competition held in Rochester, Minnesota on October 24, 2009. The LOL District of the Barbershop Harmony Society includes the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and three Provinces of Canada.
Adding to the success of the chorus were three quartets, with Oshkosh Chapter affiliation, who were medalists or finalists in competition: CounterPoint (Corey Meverden, Jacob Oxley, Jason Seiberlich, and Ashley York) – 3rd place medalists; Cheery-O’s (Jacob Oxley, Joshua Oxley, Nathan Oxley, and Todd Oxley) – 5th place finalists; and Perfect Timing (Ed Boehlm, Bob Haase, Bob Lemkuil, and Bob Thiel) – 7th place finalists and senior’s contest winners.
